A mother is on trial after punishing a child she adopted with hot sauce. Jessica Beagley, of Anchorage, is charged with misdemeanor child abuse. Beagley’s lawyer said she was punishing the 7-year-old boy from Russia because he misbehaved in school and then lied about it.
I dont know where she learned her parenting techniques but that is not acceptable here in America. I think she needed to resort to counseling or thereapy if she was having problems with her children. I am sorry but going to “DR. Phil” and asking for help is not the best of methods for getting help in my opinion. Growing up it was acceptable for a parent to whoop their child but times have changed and corporal punishment is no longer acceptable and I find that pouring hot sauce and giving the child a cold shower is no means teach fix a bad situation.
