I spent my whole day in the auto repair shop. I have seriously put over 2000 dollars in repairs for my car in a three month span. It sucks that in this economy I can’t afford to buy a new car. Granted that I have had the car for 5 years but I was hoping the car would have lasted longer than it has.
Everyone tells me that I shouldn’t have bought a Ford but at the time I got a good deal on it so that is what I ended up with. If I have a choice I plan to buy a Toyota or a honda. I will no longer deal with all the issues this freaking car has had.

What is going on with the gas prices? I’m going to date myself, but when I was in college, I went to a school that was fairly remote and gas prices were under $1. I could fill up my Crown Victoria tank for 10 bucks. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and there the price was $1.50. Once I left college and got a job, I remember there was a huge outcry when gas crept over $2. Once we got used to that, then it started climbing. $2.50, $3 and now almost $3.50 where I live. I still live in a fairly rural area, so I know that there is some fluctuation due to location, but it makes me wonder why we spent so much time complaining about the $2 price tag.

I have a question for everyone. I went on a road trip this past weekend and had to gas up. Here’s my question: Why do stations put on the pump a pay inside button when you have to pre-pay anyway? There’s no logical reason to have that button if you have to go in and pay for your gas before you pump it.

Today Dave is going to put the rear end on my Mustang! I am so glad I have Dave – he is not only an excelent car guy, he is my neighbor so I don’t have to go far!
I’d love to get down and dirty and help him but I don’t think my back could take it. I can’t wait to get to the doctor – come on January 26th!

I decided to change the oil in my cars today. Since I’m a bit of a car guy I hate spending money to let someone else change my oil. I decided to check out Royal Purple since they are so highly regarded in the automotive industry. Two Royal Purple oil filters and two cases of oil, $225.00! Yes Seriously! I’ll get 6 oil changes out of the oil but still…ouch!
